5 Teas to Boost Your Metabolism & Burn Fat


When it comes to losing those paunchy tummies or flabby arms and thighs, there is certianly no quick fix formula.


There is a little booster which can help you reach your target waistline faster: tea.


1. Green Tea

On top of boosting your metabolism, green tea can help fight signs of aging. It is loaded with powerful antioxidants such as epigallocatechin gallate (ECCG) and flavonoids, which reduces the formation of free radicals in your body.



2. Oolong Tea

Oolong tea, which means “Black Dragon Tea”, is a traditional Chinese tea with many healing properties. There are numerous different styles of oolong tea, giving it a wide variety of flavours. But some of the most famous oolong teas are produced in Fujian province of China and the central mountains of Taiwan.



3. Peppermint Tea

Since ancient times, peppermint has been well known for its medicinal purposes and refreshing aroma. Its history dates as far back as 1550BC, during which an Egyptian medical text, Ebers Papyrus, listed it as a calming medicinal herb.



4. White Tea

Known as the supreme drink of health, white tea contains the most antioxidants and is the least processed compared to the other teas. It actually comes from the same tea plant, Camellia Sinensis, as green tea. However, white tea leaves comprises of buds and young leaves, while green tea leaves consists of much older leaves.



5. Rose Tea

Roses have a long history of being symbols of love and beauty. It is a star ingredient in a wide variety of products such as teas, perfumes, cakes, creams, etc, thanks to its beautifying effects. Brewed with dehydrated rosebuds, rose tea gives off a light and soothing floral scent. It is packed with antioxidants and vitamins to give your body a boost.
